Library Garden
The Prospect Public Library was awarded the Summer Enrichment Grant in 2023 and 2024, made possible in part by the Institute of Museum and Library Services under the provisions of the Library Services and Technology Act, administered by the Connecticut State Library.

In that time, we installed 8 raised beds of varying sizes, planted over 100 plants, and made free vegetables available to library visitors all summer long. Teen volunteers cultivated and cared for and harvested in our garden and we held 6 different programs and events for people of all ages.

Teens interested in volunteering can apply here.

We look forward to seeing what grows in the future!

Seed Library
Our popular seed library is available to all gardeners! Each patron is welcome to "check out" up to 5 seed packets per visit.
