Request a book from another library?

Before making a request for a book from another library, please search our catalog to ensure we do not own it. We are only able to request books from other libraries if we do not own a copy or need more copies for a book club.  If we do not own the book or you need more copies for your book club please come to the circulation desk or call us at (203) 758-3001.  We will need the title and author of the book as well as your name, phone number and library card number. Only books published over 6 months may be requested.  It can take up to two weeks to acquire a book from another library, so please let us know well in advance if it is for a specific time period.

Donate previously used materials?

If you have old or new books/CDs/DVDs that you would like to donate to the library we do accept donations all-year-round. Materials we do not accept are VHSs, textbooks, and encyclopedias.  Please be aware that not all materials may be added into our collection. Those donations that we do not put into our collection may be given to the Friends of the Library for book sale materials.  If you would like to donate a large amount of donations please call us in advance to ensure we have the room to store them.  All donations must be brought into the library during open hours and may not be left outside or put in either of our book drops. Thank you.
