Prospect Library to host Soft Ball great Joan Joyce with book on her life September 14th.
We will continue to see great athletes in a particular sport. However, we will never see anyone like Joan Joyce again!! For many years, Joan has been a true inspiration to girls (and boys). A one-of-a kind, Multi-Dimensional athlete.

About The Event
– The Prospect Public Library will be hosting author Tony Renzoni with his new book Connecticut Softball Legend: Joan Joyce on Saturday, September 14th at 6:30pm at the Prospect Community Center located at 12 Center Street. Joining Mr. Renzoni that evening will be the subject of the book – Softball great Joan Joyce.
Ms. Joyce, in a rare appearance, will accompany Author Tony Renzoni to sign books. People who purchase “Connecticut Softball Legend Joan Joyce” will receive an autograph photo of Joan. If you purchase more than one book, you will receive two photos. Quantity is limited so show up early.
Joan Joyce is considered by many as the Greatest Female Athlete in Sports History, starring in such sports as Softball, Basketball, Volleyball, Golf, and Bowling. She will always be known as the unbeatable pitcher for the Raybestos Brakettes and the Connecticut Falcons, whose numerous career records—including an incredible 150 no-hitters and 50 perfect games—made her the best in the game. In addition to her playing career, Joan has refereed at a very high level for 34 years, coached Division 1 college golf for 18 years, and has coached sports (softball, basketball, etc) for 60 years!! Joan has been inducted into an incredible 20 Halls of Fame!!
